Name: Brad Fandel

Position: Vice-President of Sales

Birthplace: Peoria, IL

Experience: My father was a contractor so I got started in the industry pretty early, around age 12. I would go to job sites and help out by fetching tools, cleaning up, puttying nail holes, that sort of thing. My parents really wanted me to go to college and pursue my own passions, so I did. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Public Relations and then went on to graduate school at the University of Iowa. My first “real” job after college was in advertising and one of my clients was a large construction/remodeling firm. The more I learned about their business the more I felt myself drawn toward the industry again. Eventually I left advertising and went to work for that client in sales and marketing and worked my way up to become their Vice-President of Sales. Then 5 years ago the opportunity came to move back to Peoria and join this amazing organization. So as I enter my 21st year in the industry I couldn’t be more proud of where I am, of Peoria Siding & Window and of our other companies that make up the Prairie Home Alliance.

Where Do You Live/Family: My wife, Joy, and I have three daughters and live in Metamora. Our oldest daughter is a neurology nurse, our middle daughter is in college pursuing makeup artistry, and our youngest is a sophomore in high school. They are by far my greatest accomplishment and are all just exceptionally kind, smart, sweet, and generous young ladies.

Best Thing About Working Here: This is easy…the people. And it starts at the very top with our owner and president, Steve Jackson. Steve is a man of great character and integrity and he will always do whatever it takes to make sure our customers are taken care of and are completely satisfied. It is such a rare thing to find in our industry and his attitude has created such an exceptional culture of quality and professionalism here that it attracts other like-minded people wanting to work for our company. I sometimes wish our customers and potential customers could be a fly on the wall at our meetings and discussions to experience firsthand what goes on and is said behind closed doors. I guarantee they wouldn’t want to do business with anyone else.

Favorite Sports: I enjoy baseball, football, basketball and golf. I constantly want to play all four of these sports because my mind says I’m still 18, but my body keeps reminding me to just stick with golf.

Favorite Quote: I have two:
