For our April job of the month, we selected the Crawford’s from Washington, IL. For this specific job we chose to showcase the 2.5 beautiful custom-built bathrooms that they had installed. However, on top of the bathroom work, we also installed brand new siding, roofing, and windows for the home. Before and after pictures for the bathrooms are below.
In the master bath we did a full makeover. We started by gutting everything; the jacuzzi tub, shower, linoleum flooring, vanity and the wall separating the vanity and shower. We added new plumbing and electrical work throughout the bathroom and then replastered and painted the walls. The next step was to replace the jacuzzi tub with a brand new custom tile shower with body jets. Where the old vanity and shower were we put in his and her sinks with a double vanity. All of the cabinetry and doors to the vanity were custom built and handcrafted by the amish, as were the floorboards and custom trim. We also put in new lighting and custom built mirrors above the vanities. To finish, we put in custom wood plank tile flooring.
In the main bath, just like the master, we did a full remodel. We started by gutting everything but the original vanity. Our next step was to replaster and paint all of the walls. We replaced the old fiberglass shower with a brand new acrylic shower and wall surround. When it came to the vanity, we left the structure and just refaced it with custom handcrafted cabinetry by the Amish. We installed a quarts countertop for the vanity as well. They also built a handcrafted mirror frame to match the new vanity and installed new lighting above the mirror. We then replaced the old toilet with a brand new one. Just like we did in the master bath, we retiled the floor with a custom made wood plank tile and put in a handcrafted floorboards and trim.
For the half-bath, we tore down wallpaper and repainted the walls. We left the vanity alone, but installed a new sink and quarts countertop. We also had a mirror frame built by the amish to match the existing vanity. Lastly, we replaced the old toilet with a new one.
